Once upon a time . . .
Golden is justly proud of its many museums. Within walking distance of the Golden Visitors Center can be found the Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum, Clear Creek History Park, the Golden History Center, Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum, the Foothills Art Center the Astor House Museum, and the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. A short drive will take you to the Colorado Railroad Museum, Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave, and the Boettcher Mansion.
